Ralph says of Diego’s work, “I like that his work is almost unfinished, like Deborah Turbeville, a bit raw. That, combined with the sensuality. We go back almost 35 years when he did a photo shoot at our old NYC location. He loved to use brick walls and old floors, raw sets and he wasn’t the first to do that, but he captured it in a unique way. His work isn’t overproduced, and yet it is refined."

For Ralph, great design is an on-going quest to celebrate the legends while also looking to the future and supporting emerging talent, which has led to an on-going partnership with students from Pratt Institute. In 2016, the Museum of the City of New York presented Ralph Pucci with its City of Design Award which recognizes it says, “those who have made New York the design capital of the world and inspire future generations of designers.”
