Ralph Pucci is the master of visual merchandising, a natural-born businessman and what started as a family business in the 1950s fabricating mannequins has grown to a gallery regarded as one of the best in the world, with outposts now in Miami and Los Angeles.
Ralph collaborates with the world’s leading artists and designers, and is particularly drawn to pieces that highlight “the hand of the artist.” For Pucci, great design is an on-going quest to celebrate the legends while also looking to the future and supporting emerging talent. His family business, now in its third generation, has three galleries, in NYC, LA and Miami.
His mannequins were the subject of a major 2015 exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Design. He’s also known for working with some of the most visionary and sculptural designers in the furniture world today. Pucci, who continues to run his company under the maxim “If everyone’s going left, I’m going right.” His motto, “Keep creating really great ideas and keep moving forward”, are words to live by.
Ralph says of Diego’s work, “I like that his work is almost unfinished, like Deborah Turbeville, a bit raw. That, combined with the sensuality. We go back almost 35 years when he did a photo shoot at our old NYC location. He loved to use brick walls and old floors, raw sets and he wasn’t the first to do that, but he captured it in a unique way. His work isn’t overproduced, and yet it is refined."FOLLOW RALPH PUCCI INTERNATIONAL
